Welcome Year 10's,
I hope you are all keeping safe as we learn from home this week.
Today's lesson we will begin a Quadratics Investigation where we will explore how quadratic functions can be used to model projectile motion.
The learning intentions of this investigation are to:
- Understand real-world applications of quadratic equations.
- Be able to communicate mathematical problems effectively.
- Be able to model a quadratic equation.
To assist you with this investigation, click on the 'Learning activity: Modelling quadratics' page where you will find a video introducing the task, and my suggestions on how to get started.
I encourage you to participate actively by commenting on the posts with relevant, content-related questions. Your involvement is not only beneficial for your own learning but also your peers. In doing so, I ask you to acknowledge your responsibility to use this platform in a safe and respectful manner to ensure that our environment remains inclusive for everyone.
